TIP’s popular Scholar Weekends program is coming to the University of Georgia!

These intensive, two-day courses are open to eighth through eleventh graders. Students have the chance to explore thrilling new topics most schools aren’t able to teach, and they get to do so with a class full of other academically talented students just like them. It's a great way to explore potential majors and careers

The next program takes place on February 4 and 5, 2017, and courses include:

Aircraft and Spacecraft Design
After the World Ends
Banjos, Bootleggers, and Blood: The Tales of Appalachia
Mini Veterinary Clinic
Music Journalism New!
Politics of the Future New!
The Process of Music: Music in Motion—A Cross-Cultural Examination
Public Speaking
Sports Medicine
Star Wars Mock Trial
Virtual Reality, Social Media, and Identity: The Psychology of Digital Worlds

Students can attend as overnight students for $450, which includes a hotel stay, two lunches, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast, or as a day student for $400, which includes two lunches and Saturday dinner. Financial aid is available; you can apply with this form.

And if you can't make it in February, don't worry! UGA is offering another program on March 18 and 19.

Courses fill quickly, so early registration is highly recommended!
