CMS Fall Picture Day is next Wednesday, August 23rd. All students will be photographed. These photographs will appear in our CMS yearbook. There is no need to send money now. A portrait package will be sent home with your student a few weeks after picture day with instructions on how to order pictures.

Students that were approved for free and reduced lunch last year will still have to complete a new free and reduced form for this year. Your status from last year will change after 09-08-23, unless you complete a new form for this year! Please complete online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or pick up a paper copy in the CMS front office.

Big day for the cross country team competing at East Jackson today. A number of kids competed and won medals for their times and final positions. Camila Vazquez wins Toughest Teammate Award! Great job by all our runners!

On the Gridiron: Tigers had a great day scoring in each scrimmage session against the Spartans of Athens Academy and Patriots of Oglethorpe. Future is Bright! Go Tigers!

Congrats to this week’s Terrific Tigers! These students were nominated by their teachers for showing the Positivity Project traits- traits focused on students of strong character, integrity, and caring for each other. We will recognize a group of students each week for P2 Traits and all students are eligible. Display those character traits and the next winner might be you!

CMS softball leads 5-1 into late innings but couldn't close it out with a loss to Oglethorpe. Girls continue to show improvement. Go Lady Tigers!

8th Graders were busy in the Learning Commons today! ...orientation, checking out books and participating in a real-life Maker Space-putting together a new "desk bike!"




CMS is proud to be a 2022 - 2023 National Beta School of Merit! The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence.


The first FCA meeting of the year will be held on Friday, August 11th at 7:20 in the CMS gym. There will be a guest speaker and breakfast will be provided.


Softball News: Lady Tigers can't quite hold on as they fell short to the Lions but battled to the end. Great Job! Go Tigers!

The afterschool programs will end today at 4:30 pm. The JV game for today has been cancelled. All athletic practices at CHS will continue as planned. All athletic practices at CMS have been cancelled except for CMS football.
