CMS is proud to once again partner with the Athens Rock Lobsters hockey team for an incredible opportunity to encourage our students to read, stay motivated, and earn some exciting rewards!
The Athens Rock Lobsters Rocking & Reading Challenge gives students the chance to earn rewards simply by reading and tracking their minutes.
Here’s what students can earn:
250 minutes: Rock Lobster Bookmark
500 minutes: Coupon/Voucher for a Rock Lobster Partner Location
750 minutes: FREE ticket to the 11/21 or 12/11 home game
1,000 minutes: FREE ticket to any home game in February or March
Important deadlines for the 750-minute ticket:
November 18 - Turn in a signed sheet for a choice of the 11/21 or 12/11 game.
December 8 -Turn in a signed sheet for the 12/11 game.
Final deadline: December 18 — Turn in all reading logs by this date to earn a ticket to a February or March home game.

Coach Puckett’s classes kicked off the 2026–2027 school year by choosing ONE WORD to guide, challenge, and inspire them throughout the year. From determination and confidence to courage, patience, respect, and kindness, each student chose a word that represents who they want to become.
We’ll keep coming back to these words all year as a reminder to stay focused, keep growing, and Win Every Day!
