We are recognizing our 7th/8th grade December - April Students of the Month tomorrow (7th grade) & Friday (8th grade) with a short ceremony and little refreshments at 7:30am in the CMS Learning Commons. Parents please join us as we celebrate these students!
Please remember that students will not be eligible to participate in the Funopolis reward trip until all school fees are paid including library fees for lost books and cafeteria balances. Please have your student look for lost books at home this evening. Remember to pay any fees that are due as soon as possible.

Friday May 12th is the deadline for clearing your child’s negative meal balance at
all Commerce City Schools. Please note that students, faculty and staff will not be
able to charge meals after that date. Meals purchased beginning Monday May
15th through the end of school will be on a “pay as you go” basis unless there is
money on account to cover the cost. Thank you for making the Commerce City
Schools Nutrition Department one of the most successful programs in the State of
Georgia. We appreciate your support and assistance in closing out another great

Students enrolled in the Free & Reduced School Lunch Program and School Breakfast program are eligible for ACP. Additional information will be sent home with eligible students beginning the week of May 8th.
The CMS Athletic Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 5:30pm in the CMS gym. All CMS student athletes and their families are invited to attend.

ELA: Christian Byrom - Christian has improved his writing skills, and is always eager to ask questions in class.
Math: Abby Saxon - Abby has remained motivated in math all year long and is working hard in class during our Milestones review.
SS: Jade Rodriguez - Jade has shown a lot of improvement in social studies and does a terrific job participating in class. She is also very respectful and involved in class discussions.
SC: Caleb Lewallen - Caleb exemplifies dedication, diligence, perseverance, and a positive attitude in science class.
ELA Applications: Caden Darnell - Caden exhibits a positive attitude and has a wonderful sense of humor.
Math Applications: Lola Byrd - Lola is extremely hardworking, is always willing to participate in group activities, and made tremendous growth on her Math iReady diagnostic.

SC: Dayana Montano Nunez - Dayana is genuinely kind and respectful to all of her teachers and her peers.

Math Applications: Shad Worley - Shad is very respectful and hardworking. He has come so far in class this year.

Math: CJ Duncan - CJ has stepped up in class to become a leader, works hard to be his best, and is always respectful and kind to those around him.
Math: Titus Paul - Titus has worked very hard this past month. I'm grateful for his efforts. He's a great mathematician!
SS: Kipton Stephenson - Kipton serves his school in many positive ways. He is an FCA leader, a model student, and an all-around terrific young man.
SC: Connor Milford - Connor has grown so much as a scientist this year. She is always prepared for class, answers questions, helps others, and has a positive attitude.
