CMS will celebrate our students who were selected as students of the month during the first half of the school year this week. We would love for parents of these students to join us!
Thursday, December 7th at 7:30am - 5th & 8th grades
Friday, December 8th at 7:30am - 6th & 7th grades
Celebrations will be held in the CMS cafeteria and light refreshments will be served.
Invitations were sent home last week with students who will be recognized at our celebration.
The CMS Book Fair is coming! Browsing days will be next Tuesday and Wednesday and the opening day of the Book Fair will be on Thursday, December 7th!

CMS Winter Sports Picture Day will be Tuesday, December 5th. Students should be sure to bring uniforms, shoes, etc. and be ready for pictures at the time listed for their sport. Please be sure that your student has a ride waiting when pictures are complete.

Congrats to this week’s Terrific Tigers! These students were nominated by their teachers for showing the Positivity Project traits- traits focused on students of strong character, integrity, and caring for each other. We will recognize a group of students each week for P2 Traits and all students are eligible. Display those character traits and the next winner might be you!

Boys and girls basketball win again at home tonight versus Legacy Knoll. Girls win 49-13 and boys win 59-35. Basketball cheerleaders helped the teams bring it home! Go Tigers!

Commerce Middle School dominated at Special Olympic Basketball today! Team A won FIRST place and Team B won second place!! We are so proud of all our students and cannot wait to complete at Spring Olympics.

These times are estimates as the 10 minute warm up clock will start at the conclusion of the previous game.
Students in Mrs. Duke and Mrs. Bonds 5th grade math class practiced comparing fractions with varying denominators to the benchmark fraction of 1/2. They used fraction bars as a hands on approach to identify if the fraction is greater than, less than, or equal to 1/2. Students could visually see fractions and develop a deeper understanding of fraction relationships.
Girls soccer conditioning will take place on Wednesdays, December 6th and December 13th, from 3:00-4:15.
Boys soccer conditioning will be held today and Thursday, November 30th from 3:00-5:00.
Students must have a current physical on file at CMS to participate in conditioning.
Boys and girls basketball take the wins tonight on the road at Russell MS. Girls win 37-16 and boys win 36-18. Go Tigers!

Congratulations to Dawn Pike our 4th Annual Chili Cook-off winner. Mrs. Pike will walk away with the coveted championship trophy along with all the glory and honor that comes with this prestigious win! Sliding in at a close second was Coach Lund with his “famous” walk the plank chili! Coming in at third place was Media Specialist, Carolyn Hutcheson.
