Survey extended to November 17th! Parents & Guardians-- We initially shared this on October 16th. If you didn't have the chance to take the survey, please do so by next Friday. Your participation is much needed and appreciated! Go Tigers! Please take a few moments to complete the annual Georgia Parent Survey. All parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in the survey. The data will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. CMS is extremely proud of our students for selling 1670 Tiger Discount Cards this year! Students enjoyed a sumo wrestling match between Dr. Powell and Mr. Corkery on Friday as a reward for their hard work. It was something to see for sure!

The CMS Beta Club along with Mr Tyson organized a food drive to benefit the Banks Jackson Food Bank this week. Over 1266 food items were donated by CMS students. The winners of our homeroom food donations challenge were: 5th Hutto 6th Tyson 7th Peterman 8th O’Lenick

Only TWO days left to turn in donations for the food drive. The winning homeroom for each grade level will get to enjoy a pizza party! The deadline for donations is this FRIDAY! The needed items are peanut butter, canned meat, canned vegetables, canned soup, & crackers.

CMS Competition Cheer takes 1st place at Loganville last Saturday. Our Comp Cheer team is the current Pac-IX champion and continues to dominate the competition. Way to go ladies! Go Tigers!

Parents: we will allow students to wear Halloween costumes on Halloween. The only rules that apply are that it must adhere to dress code and we do not allow masks that cover the face in case of a need to identify a student. Encourage your child to participate while they are still not "too cool" to dress up.

Congratulations to the 8th grade Students of the Month for October! ELA: Leslie Castillo - Leslie is hardworking in class and always has a great attitude. Math: Brooks McDuffie - Brooks is always enthusiastic about learning math and works hard every day in class to be successful. SS: Bronc Cash - Bronc is very intelligent and does a terrific job participating in social studies discussions each day. SC: Parker Evans - Parker always works hard and participates in classroom discussions. He is always polite and willing to help if needed. ELA Applications: Jordyn McCormick - Jordyn is super sweet and works hard. She is engaged in daily activities, and is a positive example for others. Math Applications: Levi Raettig - Levi always works diligently on his assignments and participates in our discussions.

Congratulations to the 7th grade Students of the Month for October! ELA: Temperance Westlake - Temperance is a great self-advocate and shows enthusiasm for learning. Math: Britton Jones-Leggett - Britton works hard every day and is always polite and respectful. SS: Carlos Heredia - Carlos always comes to class with a positive and hardworking attitude to help create a better classroom environment. SC: Elias Paul -Not only has Elias been a strong student since the beginning of the year, he has continued to improve through hard work and determination. ELA Applications: Addison Whitley - Addison is resilient and continues to push herself through any circumstance. She ROCKS!!
