Parents and community,
The teachers at Commerce Middle School have organized an unbelievable event to honor veterans for Veteran's Day this year. It is called Field of Flags and we would love you to help us decorate all of the field in front of CMS with a sea of American Flags for Veteran's Day.
Each flag in the Field of Flags honors a different hero. And behind each flag is a unique story—a story about courage and freedom. A story about sacrifice. A story worth honoring.
This Veterans Day, Commerce Middle School students will set up a field of American flags, all to honor local veterans and raise critical funds to support our ill and injured heroes.
Each flag is a donation of $10 to represent one veteran—and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they’ve sacrificed so much for our country. All donations will raise critical funds to support Disabled American Veterans (DAV) life changing services for veterans in need and their families.
If you would like to "Fly a Flag" for Veteran's Day you can donate at the link below. Each flag is $10 and you can sponsor as many as you wish. Thank you for your support!

Ms. Hutto's classes discussing safety online, research skills and citing references-they were wonderful!
Parents,
We will be sending home iReady Diagnostic Reports with your child's progress report next week. To better help our parents understand the report I have made a short video going over how to read the report so you can understand how your child is doing overall, in specific areas, and what you can do to help them achieve at grade level. Take some time to watch it prior to getting your child’s reports. My hope is that you can see how CMS is working to grow each child to their fullest potential and what you can do to help us achieve that goal.

CMS softball rolls on the road to a 16-2 victory over Towns Co. this afternoon! Go Lady Diamond Tigers!
Parents, as many of you know, our school system uses the Marzano Framework to align our instructional practices and work diligently each day to ensure a positive learning experience for our students. We are currently exploring the possibility of applying for Level 1 High Reliability School Status: Safe and Collaborative Culture.
Please take a few minutes and respond to questions regarding the safe and collaborative culture of our schools. We value your input and appreciate all you do to support Commerce City Schools!
