We will be administering the Universal Behavior Screener to all students in the coming weeks. This tool assists us in providing support to our students in a variety of areas: academic, social, emotional, or behavior. You can read more about the screener in the attached letter and how it is founded in research. If you DO NOT wish for your child to participate, please return the attached letter with your signature. Project Based Learning for 5th Graders. Read aloud of "The Most Magnificent Thing" and then planned and built a prototype of an invention in groups. Students went above and beyond!

Math: Axel Garrish - Axel is a highly intelligent young man who rocked it on his first iReady diagnostic of the year. All in all, he works very hard.
SS: Ella Toney - Ella is an awesome young lady who comes in ready to learn each day and gives time outside of class to make her fellow peers better by leading 5th grade Bible study and FCA.
SC: Neveah Dean - Neveah is a hard worker and always willing to help. She has a great attitude towards learning.

FCA will meet in the CMS gym tomorrow morning. There will be a guest speaker and breakfast will be provided.
CMS, with the help of the Commerce Police Department, ran the drug dogs through some classrooms this morning. This was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all of our students. We went under a level 2 lockdown. We are proud to say we had zero hits and the dogs cleared all rooms. We wanted you all to know the safety of your child is our first priority and this is a step we take from time to time to ensure that safety. Thank you for your understanding!
CMS Volleyball: Lady Tigers split the 1st two games but fell Short in the 3rd game. The Lady Tigers played hard tonight and fought tooth and nail to the end. All 3 games were exciting and fun to watch. Great Job! Go Tigers!
